hi,
If like me your fairly new to Joomla then i would deffinatly recommend using these guys to purchase your template from. Excellent templates with SEO and Userbility top of their agenda, plus very stylish looking themes.
The support is A1 (Dean in particular) if your thinking of purchasing and not sure then i can assure you its money well spent. It also pays to have professional help as they really know thier beans.
On happy customer here.
Big up Joomla Shack

I couldn't agree more.
The templates are of the highest quality.
I guess that it is a matter of tast but I really don't like Rubicon at all.
But one can't have everything in life.
I love Simplicity, Voodo & Lightfast! and no doubt will love Element too when I get to use it.
Keep up the good work!!!
Nick

I am very sorry to hear of a negative support experience. We truely strive to give the best possible support.
It is recommended that you seek template support in these support forums. You may find that you get your answers quicker than using the "contact us" mail form.

Hey Bozz,
As TJ mentioned, our primary support is through the forums:
http://www.joomlashack.com/help-section/support-options/technical-support.html
Having said that, I am not sure I noticed your emails. I got a PM from you which I replied from....

Thanks Chris!
Your post brought me back to this thread, and I noticed a correction that needs to be made. When Barrie posted his response in October, the Forums were our primary means of support. This has now changed.
For support with
customization
, such as changing a font color, replacing a header / logo image, 'how-do-I's', Joomla usage, etc - we still wish to use the forum. These types of things are best suited, we feel, to a public setting. This way the answers provided may be useful for everyone who is seeking similar advice / help.
We have added our Support Ticket system to give support for things that are actually 'broken', ordering issues, downloading issues, pre-sale questions, etc. For these types of things, we ask that people submit a ticket to the
Support Center
.
**Please Note: If you submit a ticket with an issue that is better suited for the forums, you will be re-directed to the forums for help. This does not mean we don't want to help you, it just means that the question you've asked is better suited for the forums.
It is our hope to continue to provide the best support in the Joomlashpere, and with our ticket system and the forum combined, we feel we can make that support even better!
peace,
tj

Sorry, no warm fuzzies here...
I bought a template with source files, the source files don't seem to have any relation to the template, and for the unbranded template I find out that you have to email these guys and wait for them to get back to you...
Not making me feel very good about this organization. I don't recommend them.
On a related note, I'm looking for template design sites that provide Photoshop source files for their templates. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hello,
No idea why the source files would have nothing to do with the template.... perhaps you don't know what you are looking at?
Sorry about the rebrand - for most it's not too much to ask ... for some, well ..... you can't please everyone I guess. It's funny how this 'I want it now' digital world has spoiled the ability of people to have patience and flexibility......
As for Photoshop source images ..... try posting to Joomla.org for help with that, you may get someone point you in the right direction.

Quoted for truth! I remember not more than a few years back when you actually had to wait 2-5 business days for any online transaction to be cleared, even credit cards.
But that was too slow for hasty customers, so now you can do it instantly in most cases...
Consequently, this is around the same time that identity theft and credit fraud went through the effing stratosphere.
Sometimes, I feel like the only person online old enough to remember how patently inconvenient everything used to be, and how easy it is today.

Here here....in the era of speed typing and speed dating, we seem to want instant fixes...really instant!
I'm a big fan of JS...they have been nothing short of incredibly helpful and supportive. One thing I've noted, having had a client use a fairly old(ish) template recently is that my frustration at issues was parallel to my inability to look through the forum. When I actually stopped at look at the forum area for that template and did a bit of digging...I found all the answers were there waiting for me.
Cheers, Phil

I will have to agree with Phil I am 80% N00b to JS Templates and about 70% N00b to Joomla! and I have found more information regarding customization on this forum than a lot of the other so called professional sites. They just send you to the Users guide which was written for a programmer and has no real meaning to people just trying to get a decent personal site up and running.
Cheers to JS and Barrie North

I thought it might be useful for someone with limited Joomla! experience who chose two different template companies to try out one site design with.... I'm going on about 4 weeks of actually using Joomla 1.5.
Both templates were sharp, well done, and had tutorials on their page, and Joomlashack won out. I think the template helped me learn about using joomla. The documentaiton through the web demo of the template and the forms really pushed me over the edge and without a doubt, I'm looking here first for my templates.
I've never thought about selling websites or looking for an excuse to make a website since I figured out how Joomla and these quality sharp templates look.
I'm a hobbyist at best... A Front Page user for years who purchased and modified static html templates for hours/days to get what I want out of them. I'm a volunteer webmaster for scouting groups, and this forum and templates really helped.
I know it may sound like I'm more of a fan of Joomla than these templates, but the quality of template really makes you want to work to understand how Joomla works and some of the step-by-step instructions.
Also, great job having 1.5 templates that work great. I decided while learning to try 1.5 initially because 1.0 scared me a few years ago when I tried it. I find Joomla 1.5 to work great and is easier to comprehend, and these template tutorials helped. I only wish I could get.
I can't wait to try out the Template Builder and some other templates.

I'm with you guys - JoomlaShack Rocks!
What you have to remember is that you're buying a template that is an add-on the a rather impressive content management system. These things need configuring! You need to know what you're buying, and how it all fits together.
JoomlaShack support has been excellent, ESPECIALLY bearing in mind how much I paid for their templates.
I'm a fan.
Well done guys.

Dear All
For some years (since 2004) I shuffle around looking for templates for my sites.
One day I met the
JoomlaShack
team of the
JS_Natura
free template.
When arrived the Joomla 1.5, with much more functionality and 3rd part features, I need to find a new template and it was precisely this time that tried the solution it needed.
The
Optimus Free
Template was a good solution to replace the
JS_Naturale
but the
Optimus Pro
was much better ...
You can see here the
Optimus Pro
:
http://www.sangueverdeoliva.com.br/novo/
Here, the
Jamba Free
template:
wttp://www.aore.org.br
I need a new model for a new site:
JomlaShack
is the place I look for and will find, of course. Probably
Inspiron
or
Light Fast
, who knows. But might be a
JoomlaShack
, certainly. Always!
Better quality of product, either free or (pro) professional. Excellent support and we still have the forum where most of our questions are resolved by colleagues without the need to bother the
JS
creators.
I recommend to all Brazilians friends. It is a pity that the world today only speak English and do not our Portuguese (our native language)...

I am new to websites but have a background marketing database software systems. I would say I am a power user. I need to build a website for Affiliate Marketing of Poker Rooms, Casinos and Sportsbooks. I will also have an online forum using phpBB and some templates for that. If templates are going to get me up and running faster than I am all about that. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi CRAZYBEAR007!
If you want to start a web site quickly, Joomla is a really good choice. But I wouldn't recommend phpBB. It's a good forum but I recommend a forum that's integrated in Joomla (like Kunena, which is a fork of the popular and excellent Joomlaboard). That way your user won't have to log in twice, once in your Joomla site and a second time in the forum.
