Okay so here's my last take on this. Once again I've never actualy met anyone who uses a screen resolution as small as you showed (not that people don't do it). But I've changed the code everywhere in the . php file and the whole template went wonkie. Was horrible.

So, for ME, this is a good fix. I'm very happy with it and that means for me.... it's problem solved.

Good luck on solving this at all levels. I'll keep checking back to see what developes in the future. Good luck everyone.

I'm using a 19" monitor, and like to have windows overlapping. If the template is made smaller than actual size and requires scroll bars, it causes the problem identified in the original post. I just didn't like what happened. The template itself is nice, it's just that once I'd spotted the problem, I couldn't ignore it.

I'm currently using Vintage, Optimus Pro, and am about to start work with Inspirion.

Good luck with your site!

I run both my monitors at 1920x1200 resolution ... they are both HD monitors and I like the crispness of the higher resolution ...

As more and more people get newer systems, even laptops, the standard resolution will become higher and higher ... in fact, here's an interesting look at some statistics:  http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp

When you are building a website you should take in to consideration the audience, at all times.  So, if you are building a site for a younger more tech savvy audience, you'd obviously want to design to their standards and consider that they are most likely not going to be viewing the site at 800x600 ...

On that note, I had tried some time back to look for a more permanent solution to this problem unsuccessfully ... I'll give it another go and see if anything drops out of the sky ... Smiley
