I keep getting an authentication error when I click on the "Choose" link. I have tried both passwords. iContact makes you create a second password (cannot be the same as your default iContact password). Help!!!

Is the API key correct and have you enabled the application in icontact?

Unfortunately, we can't provide support that's based on the iContact API.

The best I can offer is that you purchase a support time block from us and we can try and help you diagnose the problem. If its an easy fix, or we can't find the problem, I'd be happy to refund you.

tlawson84005, did you find a solution for that? I'm having the same problem.

Not yet.  I had to buy another solution for now.

Intellispire.

Seems Barrie is reluctant to help. I'm having the same problem and I'm giving up on Jcontact/iContact. Intellispire is too pricey. I'll keep looking for a solution.

I got the same error too.  So I logged into iContact and changed my password and then entered the new password in J!Contact and that seemed to work.  The other thing I did was made the iContactAPI password the same as the password for the API password p but not sure if that played a part in getting it to work.

Hi,

I had this error too and I found that I had to enter the password created for the API key and not the one to login to icontact.

Also try your username in all lowercase. That solved the problem for me.

I was having the same problem, trying various options.  I got past the problem when I did this...
[1] closed out of the window where I created the API key.
[2] Using the link in the JContact admin screen, I logged back in to iContact, and then returned back to the page for creating an API key (My Key and info were already displayed on that page, letting me know that I had created them.)
[3] I copied the API key from this screen and repasted it into my JContact admin screen.  A change this time was that the copy/paste included the space that trailed the key (that trailing space was on the iContact screen).
[4] I saved my renewed JContact settings, then retried "choose," and everything worked.

My guess is that the fix came either from relogging in to iCiontact or because I included the trailing space in the key.

Don't know if this helps, but for what it's worth, that worked for me.
