Hi,

I read about jContact in Barrie's book, and I found it here on the site. However I noticed that Joomlashack is now using InfusionSoft for its email newsletters. Anyone care to share the reasons for the switch? I assume it's because InfusionSoft includes CRM features that go well beyond Joomla?

That's more or less right Mark.

JContact is the iContact widget, which is purely an email newsletter service.

We are moving some of our systems to Infusionsoft because of its greater range of features. The form you actually used to join Shack U was an Infusionsoft order form, and we used the API to create your accounts in the Joomla site and here on SMF.

Right now, we are still using iContact for our monthly newsletters....
