I had already read and devoured Barrie's book on Joomla.  It is an excellent resource I keep it on my desk at all times.  Knowing the quality of the book, I was thrilled when I found about Joomlashack University.  I signed up as soon as they opened the doors and I and so glad I did.  I've used Joomla for awhile and have built several sites, but there were still plenty of things I needed and wanted to learn and the "U" has delivered.  I can't wait for the more advanced courses to come along.

I plan on being a life time member, and considering the cost versus the value received I don't think you can beat what is offered here.

If you're not a member what are you waiting for?  Get in line and wait eagerly for the doors to open to the next round of the "U"

I'm hooked on Shack U!  I initially purchased Barries book on Joomla and found it to be a great resource in learning Joomla.  Now, even better is Joomlashack University!  When I heard about this I was eager to sign-up.  I have not been disappointed!  Upon joining you are taken to the University Menu where your course is listed.  The course is broken into 11 modules with easy to follow instructions/videos from installing joomla to creating your site to final steps.  There are also additional resources mentioned throughout the course which I found extremely valuable in my pursuit of learning all I can about Joomla.  Barrie and Forest are there every step of the way to provide support in the Joomlashack University forum.  I am excited about being a part of Shack U and am looking forward to future courses!

I encourage you to sign-up and join our 'student body'!    Grin

After reading Barrie's book and creating two sites, this course was a great review and taught me better ways to perform many of the tasks involved in setting up a Joomla website. Well worth the time, even if you have already read the books and built some sites. I'm looking forward to future classes. If they are on par with this, the education will be invaluable.

Joomla is not the easiest environment to get your head around. The fact is Joomla introduces a completely new way of looking at the structure of a site this makes it hard even for people with building skill from other environments.

I taught myself, it took me quite a long time, I bought a book and worked my way through it and in the end I was reasonably competent.

I enrolled in the JoomlaShack course because I want to be an expert at Joomla and reasoned that I must learn something. Yes I already knew a large chunk of the course material but I still picked some gems in the course that made it well worth doing.

If you want to learn Joomla I recommend the Joomla University to you. I believe that it is the quickest, most cost effective way of learning Joomla.

This is BY FAR the best money I've spent to learn Joomla.  I have bought books, read info online, taken other tutorials.  This program makes things crystal clear.

I plan to buy Barrie's book and use it to supplement what I am learning here.  This is a clear, affordable course that anyone could follow and enjoy.
I plan to stick around for a long time.

With over 20 years of programming experience I have seen some great coding, but I have also seen the ugly mess that no ones wants to try to update, document and maintain.

Joining the JSU Team means you will receive what I call "Best Practices" training. This means you will learn how to do it right the first time, and  also in the highest professional manner. Creating a JOOMLA site may not be rocket science, but taking the time to learn the proper methodology will save you untold grief and frustration, and the all important customer satisfaction.

Give your self a break and join the "Best Practices" JOOMLA Shack University so that you can continue to enjoy what you do best!
