Hi,
Actually I want to use J contact through Joomlashack. Already I've made the setup. But, I think still missing something. But, I'm not be able to figure out the following:

I have made the steps mentioned except the last step which (The last step is to create a link to the special registration page.)

I could not make it. It's not Clare? Could you help me please?

Hi,

I have intalled the JContact component as described in the documentation (www.joomlashack.com/tutorials/445-how-to-set-up-jcontact)

I am using API 2.0

When I select the Choose button on the "JContact Main Settings" within Joomla, I am receiving an Authentication Error.
I used the JContact username and password. I also confirmed that I am using the correct password by changing the password for JContact withing my iContact account and copy the same password to the JContact Joomla settings.

The application and application name are both JContact, but I dont think this will cause an Authentication error?

I'm having the same problem. I've set up everything and when I click on Choose to select the mailing list name I see authentication error about 5 times on the small pop-up box. Not sure at this point if this component works as I cannot seem to get it working.

I have a case opened with iContact, but I am not sure how much help they will be. I opened the case yesterday and have not heard back from the iContact API team.

Try your username in all lowercase. This solved the problem for me.
