Easy SSP Builder Does not load anything or update anything

I'm trying to load a gallery in Joomla, so I tried to use Easy SSP.  SSP seems to be one of the hardest slide shows i've ever have dealt with.  Anyways, the problem is that I have loaded the correct XML file path from Director into the easy ssp builder, but it does not update it to show my photos.  Even when I change the colors of backgrounds etc, it does not change it.  It says live preview, and I can't even preview anything.
