How to integrate Mailchimp with a Joomla site

What's in this movie series?

MailChimp is a very powerful, easy-to-use email marketing platform that is loved by many people, myself included.

You can use MailChimp directly with no other integration with your Joomla site other than a sign up form on your site, or, you can integrate it more closely, using Joomla extensions for MailChimp.

In this video series, you’ll get an in-depth guide of how to do most everything in MailChimp, as well has how you can integrate MailChimp with a Joomla site.

Part 4

There are a few different ways that you can integrate MailChimp with a Joomla site, using various Joomla extensions made for MailChimp integration.

In this video, I’m going to cover two different Joomla MailChimp extensions. One is called Chimp your Joomla, and it allows you to sign people up to your MailChimp lists when they register as a member of your site.

The other extension for MailChimp that I’ll show you how to use is called Joomailer. This extension allows you to do many things, such as use joomla articles from your site as the content for newsletters that you send out through Joomailer.

If you’re thinking about integrating your Joomla site with Mailchimp, I would recommend first watching this video before you make a decision about using either of these extensions, since they do different things.

One of the main benefits of integrating your Joomla site and Mailchimp is that you can then use Mailchimp to communicate with the registered users in your joomla user list. But you may not need to use one of these extensions for Mailchimp at all.

You might be fine just using MailChimp by itself, and having a MailChimp sign up form on your joomla site.

But if you do have a need to register people on your site for some reason, and if you want to use MailChimp to communicate with them, then using one of these extensions is a good solution.
