New Joomla Lessons
Today I am happy to launch our brand new 12 lesson video training course to guide you step-by-step through the process of creating a multilingual Joomla website.
While I was creating this course I realised that much of the available documentation for building multi-lingual web sites makes it seem something very complex and not for the faint hearted.
I have worked hard to remove the mystique by breaking the process down into just a few simple steps that anyone can follow.
The Need for Multilingual content
Over the last four weeks I have been to Cambodia, Luxembourg and Denmark, with a quick stop in Malaysia along the way, where I have been doing a little sight seeing, meeting many Joomla users and "Spreading the Joomla Love".
Two things really struck home with me as I was planning the trips and while I was away
- It didn't matter if I was booking a hotel or buying a guide there was a very good chance that the web site was powered by Joomla. Even including mammoth sites like the Kuala Lumpur Airport.
- Too many web sites were only offering their important information in the site owners native language and were not offering translations to their site visitors.
Now with Joomla 2.5 and this training course it's within your grasp to build web sites in multiple languages and you do not have to translate everything just the most relevant and important parts.
