What Extensions Should OSMap Support?

osmap google joomla

OSMap is the most popular sitemap extension for Joomla.

Currently, OSMap supports 7 extensions, using plugins from Joomlashack. These are Content, Weblinks, K2, Kunena, Mosets Tree, SobiPro, and Virtuemart.

Over 40 more extensions are supported, thanks to other developers.

We'd like to add official OSMap support for more extensions. Do you have any suggestions for extensions that are not yet covered, or that Joomlashack should support?

Ideally we're looking for extensions that meet these criteria:

  • Are used on a large number of Joomla sites
  • Contain a lot of valuable content

Click here to let us know what extensions OSMap should support.

Major Improvements in ShackSlides Pro

Major Improvement in ShackSlides Pro

One of our goals at Joomlashack is to make things simple for you.

With that in mind, we merged Joomlashack's Visionary component into ShackSlides. Visionary was an extension that was sold separately that integrated with Shackslides and allowed you to easily upload images. The goal is help make it simpler for you to work with slideshows.

With the same low price, Shackslides now includes the features that made Visionary so popular.

If you install or update ShackSlides to its latest version 3.1.4, you will notice a significant change in your Joomla control panel.

The New Joomla 4 Media Features

The New Joomla 4 Media Features

Here at Joomlashack, we've started to get questions about Joomla 4.

Joomla 4 is a long way from being ready. There's not even Alpha version available yet.

But, because we get questions, we want to keep our readers informed about the progress of Joomla 4.

We recently took a first look at Joomla 4, and mentioned that our Wright Framework now works on Joomla 4 sites!

In this blog post, we'll take a look at the new Media Manager in Joomla 4.

Joomla 3.8 Launched With a Secret Feature

Joomla 3.8 Launched With a Secret Feature

There's an Easter Egg hidden in the new Joomla 3.8.

Earlier this week, we wrote about (almost) all the new features in Joomla 3.8.

Well, it turns out we missed one, and it wasn't mentioned in any of the launch announcements either.

Thanks to this patch, the Articles screen now has much more powerful features.

Go to Content > Articles in your Joomla site, and you'll be able to use multi-select filters to search for articles. This will be very useful for sites with large numbers of articles. This feature supports Categories, Access Levels, Authors, and Tags.
