If your OSCampus lessons require an account, you can display a Sign up button that directs visitors to your registration page. Setting a lesson’s access level alone does not configure this button. You also need to provide a signup link in OSCampus.

Step 1. Enable Joomla User Registration

If you want visitors to create an account using Joomla’s registration form, follow these steps:

• In the administrator sidebar, select Users → Manage.
• Click Options in the toolbar.
• Set Allow User Registration to Yes.

• Leave New User Registration Group set to Registered, unless your site requires a different group.
• Choose the appropriate New User Account Activation setting. Self requires users to activate their account through an emailed link. Administrator requires additional administrator approval.
• Click Save & Close.

These settings control Joomla’s built-in registration process. If you use a separate subscription service, use that service’s signup page instead.

Step 2. Open the OSCampus Options

• In the administrator sidebar, select Components → OSCampus Pro → Classes.
• Click Options in the toolbar.

Step 3. Enter Your Signup Page URL

• Find the Signup Page field in the OSCampus configuration.

• Enter the internal URL of your signup page, without your domain name. For example, for Joomla’s built-in registration form, enter:

index.php?option=com_users&view=registration

• Click Save & Close.

The Signup Page setting supplies the destination for the Sign up button.

Step 4. Test the Sign Up Button

Open your website in a private browser window so you can test as a logged-out visitor. Navigate to a restricted lesson and check the following:

• The Sign up button appears.
• Clicking it opens the intended registration or subscription page.
• A newly registered user can access the lesson after completing any required activation and signing in.

For a basic members-only setup, ensure the lesson’s access level includes the Registered user group. Creating an account does not automatically grant access to lessons restricted to other groups.

On some Joomla sites, you may want to offer your OSCampus lessons on a sign-up basis. By default, OSCampus doesn't display a "Sign-up" button. You won't see it even when you set the access level of your lessons to stricter than "Public":

Here is how to set the "Sign-up" button in OSCampus.

• In your Joomla administrator panel, go to "Components" > "OSCampus Pro":

• You will be taken to the "OSCampus Pro: Classes" screen. In the top right corner, click "Options":

• This will open up the "OSCampus Configuration" screen. Enter the internal link (link without the domain name) of your sign-up page into the "Signup Page" field, as shown in the image below. For my demonstration, I selected the Joomla registration page to be the sign-up page for my OSCampus lessons. Hence my link for this page will be index.php?option=com_users&view=registration:

• Click "Save" or "Save & Close".
• Check the frontend page of your lesson. You should see the "Sign up" button:
