Shack Forms allows you to provide visitors with additional information after they submit a form. You can automatically redirect them to a new URL, such as a "Thank You" page.
You can choose to redirect form submitters to a Joomla menu item—whether it's visible or hidden—or to any custom URL.
Let’s explore how Shack Forms' "Redirect" feature works. In this example, we’ll redirect users to a "Thank You" page, which is a Joomla article linked via a hidden menu item.
- Open your Shack Forms module.
- Click the Events tab:
- Find the Redirect after send section:
- In the Redirect menu item dropdown, select the menu item you want to use. In this example, we’ve selected the "Thank You" page:
- In the Redirect delay (seconds) field, enter how many seconds to wait before redirecting:
- Click Save or Save & Close to apply your settings.
Great job! Now, when you test your form, you’ll see the redirect in action:

Let's take a look at Shack Forms' "Redirect" feature in detail. For the purpose of my demonstration, I will redirect my form submitters to a "Thank You" page. This page is a Joomla article with its hidden menu item.
- Open up your Shack Forms form module.
- Click the "Events" tab:
- Locate the "Redirect after send" section:
- In the "Redirect menu item" select field, select your menu item. I selected my "Thank You":
- In the "Redirect delay (seconds)" field, enter your redirect delay time in seconds:
- Click "Save" of "Save & Close".
Well done! Now, when you test your form, you will see the redirect at work:
