Joomlashack Will Continue to Support Joomla 3

Joomla 3 support was officially retired by the Joomla team in August 2023. The Joomla community is moving forward with Joomla 4, and soon, Joomla 5. But we still have a good number of Joomlashack customers using Joomla 3. So we will support those Joomla 3 users for at least one more year.

Video: Joomla 3 End-of-Life Extended to January 2025 (For a Fee)

Rod Martin from OSTraining says, "Joomla 3 End of Life (EOL) was scheduled for August 17, 2023. Wisely, the project decided to extend that to January 2025 due to the number of Joomla 3 sites that have not yet migrated. But you will need to enroll in a special "ELTS" (Extended Long Term Support) subscription for around $100 USD."

But the recent security issue involving the AcyMailing newsletter extension was serious and appears to have impacted a significant number of users. Please check any sites that have had AcyMailing installed this year. There's a more detailed timeline of the issue available from Allon Moritz at Digital Peak.
