At Joomlashack, we’re already on it. We’re updating our extensions to work properly with Joomla 6 and testing them on real sites.

Upgrade & preparation tips for Joomla 6
Before upgrading, take a few minutes to prepare. It can save a lot of time later.
Back up your site
Always create a full backup of files and the database first.
Test on a staging site
If possible, try Joomla 6 on a copy of your site before going live.
Update extensions first
Run the latest versions of your extensions before upgrading Joomla itself.
Check your PHP version
Joomla 6 requires a modern PHP version. Confirm your hosting is ready.
Upgrade step by step
Follow Joomla’s recommended upgrade path if you’re coming from older versions.
What’s coming next
We’re not done yet. Work on Joomla 6 compatibility is still ongoing across our extension lineup.
Right now, the Shack Toolbox Pro module is actively in progress.
We’re going through the remaining Joomla 6 changes. We’re testing edge cases. And we’re making sure everything behaves as expected on real sites before calling the update ready.
As always, we’d rather take a little more time than rush an update out the door.
