We're often asked about famous organizations or people who use Joomla for their website.
This is important information for Joomla people. When you are trying to win new customers, it helps to say "Roger Federer uses Joomla" or "Nintendo relies on Joomla".
So we created an overview of high-profile users. The list is completely up-to-date for 2019.

The Future of Joomla's UI

I'd like to take the opportunity to let our readers know of a current open conversation about the future of Joomla's User Interface, or UI as it's commonly referred to, and invite everyone to share their input should they wish to.
Some of you may already know of Kyle Ledbetter's work over the last few months to bring modern standardization to the Joomla admin interface, an effort that many of us are very grateful he began. For a peek, take a look at the screenshot above - yes, that's a possible Joomla admin interface!
Due largely in part to Kyle's efforts to incorporate the popular Twitter Bootstrap framework for use in standardizing the UI and presenting a set of tools for developers, Joomla's Production Leadership Team (PLT) has asked of the larger community what their desires and preferences for the adoption of an underlying framework be.
I invite you to read what Kyle has written in a summary of his overall goeals, and to head over to the JUI forum discussion to share your input.

Joomlashack's annual holiday charitable campaign is back with a new twist: We'll match your donations!
For the fourth year, Joomlashack is rallying our community to support a worthy charity during the holiday season.
This year we're supporting the important humanitarian efforts of Doctors without Borders (aka Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF.)
For every dollar contributed by our community, Joomlashack will match up to a total of $1,000. Other partners may match even more!

What Joomla-powered sites have the highest Google PageRank? (Hint: Joomlashack's PageRank is 9. Think we made the top tier?)
How many Joomla-powered websites in the world are there? And how many of them are highly trafficked, really successful sites?
A group of Joomlaheads led by Alex Red has set out to answers these any many other questions about the size, depth, and characteristics of the Joomlaverse. Their site is www.joomla.me
Joomla.me is a directory of Joomla-powered websites. The team analyzes and makes some interesting claims using data from the directory, including:

The Joomlaverse was abuzz a few weeks ago about the launch of the Joomla Resource Directory, the Joomla community's official directory of designers, developers, and Joomla-related service providers. The directory, replete with listings for Joomlashack, our hosted and supported Joomla-on-demand service Simplweb, and Compass Designs, can be found at https://resources.joomla.org
But here's the big question: Is the JRD driving traffic to Joomla providers?
