Vintage is one of our most loved Joomla Templates
I don't know exactly what it is. Perhaps it's the timeless design, or the simplicity with which the module positions allow the designer to tell his or her story, or maybe it's the incredibly versatile antique look to it, Vintage has been a perennial bestseller loved by web-designers the world over. If you are a Developer Club Member, download it for free now.
A good thing got even better - now built on the Wright Framework
The Wright Framework is a major upgrade and outstanding value added to our Joomla Templates and the websites built upon it. The name is in honor of the famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright and his minimalist style. In a Joomla Template, the Wright Framework is like a combination of a foundation and a blank blueprint. A solid and versatile foundation to build upon, and a blank and empty blueprint upon which the web designer can create his or her masterpiece.

- Written by Steve Burge Steve Burge
- Published: 25 May 2012 25 May 2012
Last week we were talking with a Joomlashack customer who wanted to have a lot of colleagues contribute to their company's Joomla site.
We asked, "Do you want your Joomla site contributors to access your administrator area?" The answer was "No!"
The customer wanted contributors to manage all of their articles from the frontend of their site. The Shack Article Manager extension is a great way to make that happen.
Here's how Shack Article Manager works:

As websites add more information, Mega Menus are increasingly popular with designers.
Mega Menus are dropdown menus that allow for the inclusion of content as well as links.
In the example on the right you see not only links to various cars, but also a photo.

Formula Joomla Template is a Recipe for Success
Give your website a healthy start by using the right Joomla Template - - the right Formula. Joomlashack's Formula was built using the reliable Wright Framework. It comes with 6 cool colors each in light and dark versions and with some cool CSS3 animations.
Formula, your Clean and Minimalist Canvas
Doohickeys, doodahs, and gizmos are all nice and well when you want them, but sometimes you need a nice, well diagramed and clean space to communicate an idea properly and without distractions. Formula will not get in the way of your master plan. It provides the developer with an almost perfect, pure, and minimalist canvas. It can be molded and designed to fit a great selection of themes.

This is another of our series of tutorials on Fabrik. Now, instead of using Fabrik to collect information, we're going to use it to display information.
In this tutorial we're going to do two things:
- Create a list of your Joomla users.
- Search that list in advanced ways.

Shackslides... it now dices and slices
We are as excited about our new updated version of Shackslides as the host of an infomercial is about his Ginsu knives. This practical and reliable slideshow module has been used already in thousands of sites. It's one of our best selling products - - one being bought with almost every template we sell. What I'm getting at is that it was already a great product and now it's even better.
The Future of Joomla's UI

I'd like to take the opportunity to let our readers know of a current open conversation about the future of Joomla's User Interface, or UI as it's commonly referred to, and invite everyone to share their input should they wish to.
Some of you may already know of Kyle Ledbetter's work over the last few months to bring modern standardization to the Joomla admin interface, an effort that many of us are very grateful he began. For a peek, take a look at the screenshot above - yes, that's a possible Joomla admin interface!
Due largely in part to Kyle's efforts to incorporate the popular X / Twitter Bootstrap framework for use in standardizing the UI and presenting a set of tools for developers, Joomla's Production Leadership Team (PLT) has asked of the larger community what their desires and preferences for the adoption of an underlying framework be.
I invite you to read what Kyle has written in a summary of his overall goeals, and to head over to the JUI forum discussion to share your input.
