This is just an update of some things to come in the near future at Joomlashack. We've been kind of quiet lately and thought we might share some of the excitement with you before it gets here.
- New Weblogic Joomla Template! This is our first 1.5/1.0 native template with a plethora of features. While we were spending the last 71 days building this template for 1.5, we said to ourselves, "Why not make all these cool user defined parameters available for 1.0 versions as well?" So we did. We've included the same flexibility of the 1.5 template parameters in the 1.0 version. We also decided to make the 1.5 and 1.0 versions as a bundled release. We hope you like it.
- New Flash Rotator coming! We're working on a major overhaul of this module which incorporates a new (customizable) navigation system, some new transitions, SEO features, and more. This module is about to get even better.
- The Joomlashack Developer Club is coming! We have some very loyal customers here - some who have bought one of every template we've ever built. So we're outlining a new system that will grant you access to an awesome community in a private forum, unlimited domains on all templates and to a library of mods and hacks for extending Joomla! and Joomalshack templates to a new level. I'm really looking forward to this. Basically this club will put you on the inside of Joomalshack and allow you to make the most of your Joomla! experience with no limits!
- SlideShowPro Update! Have you heard? SlideShowPro has done it again. A new release of the popular SSP gallery and Director. We're currently updating our module to be fully compatible. On a side note if you like Flash video, The FLV format is leaving! Flash Player 9 beta now supports H.264 and MPEG formats! SlideShowPro and Director already supports video and image management. Think of the possibilities we come into as users and developers around the world. Exciting stuff.

Old friends come home, and we'll treat you right.
Back in May we sponsored our first-ever Joomla User Survey and received an incredible reponse. Whether it was the opportunity to participate in a study of Joomla users or the chance to win our awesome prizes (or to get 30% off any Joomlashack order), we'll never know.
We do know that more than 3,500 unique respondents answered the survey and were entered to win. If you haven't checked out the results from the survey yet, you might find them very interesting. How do you compare to other Joomla users? Find out.
So, now that Joomlashack has finally finished the migration of our entire site over to several new systems, with a whole graphic redesign of our own site thrown in for good measure, we can take a deep breath and finally draw the winners of our survey. Drumroll please!
Who is using Joomla? Does our survey tell us?
In April and May of 2007, Joomlashack conducted the first ever major survey of Joomla Users. Over 3,600 people filled out 31 questions ranging from how many Joomla sites they managed to what Joomla tasks they do most often.
The Joomla survey results confirmed many things about this powerful open source CMS, and also had a few surprises. Here are the results with some Joomlashack editorial observations!
Here at Joomlashack its our continual goal to improve our customer experience. We have been taking careful note of suggestions you have all been making in our feedback board. We are please to announce the launch of Shack 2.0!
Just two weeks after its release on Joomlashack.com, more than 2,000 Joomla users have answered our first-ever Joomla Survey.
Joomlashack has many big questions about Joomla users that the survey will help answer, such as:
Is Joomla mostly used by developers?
Nearly half of all respondents have made changes to the code of a Joomla component or the core code of Joomla itself, with 57% claiming PHP programming knowledge.
Is Joomla easy to install?
0ver 80% of those surveyed say that installing Joomla on a server was so easy it took "a few minutes."
What other content managements systems do people use instead of Joomla and why?
32% of respondents say they have used WordPress, while only 11% have used Drupal.
Does Joomla make a good blogging platform?
Over 60% say they use Joomla for a blog site.
Both Christopher and Dave have each volunteered many hours helping other community members and Steve is generous to offer his expertise on the SEO forum. Our forum grows stronger because of this type of great user-to-user support.
Thank you gentlemen. Welcome Aboard, we're glad you are here!

Back in December we asked the Joomlashack community to nominate their favorite charity for our contest. In eight days you sent us over 110 nominations from worthy organizations from around the world. After a fascinating, fun, and difficult evaluation process, Team Joomlashack picked these five charities as our finalists.
And the runaway winner of the contest were the children of Casa do Caminho Orphanage, with almost 50% of the vote.
We need your help to give a deserving charity $1000 USD

Back in December we asked you to nominate your favorite charity for our "Charity Starts with a Joomla Home(page)" Contest.
Now it's time for you to vote for the charity you believe is most deserving of a donation of either a free website design or $1000USD. We wish all five could win, but now you, our community, will decide.
