Thank you all for your support of Joomlashack.
Joomlashack started in 2005, but our team took over the site in 2016.
At the end of every year we write a review of what happened at Joomlashack. If you want to look back, here is our 2016 review, 2017 review, 2018 review, 2019 review, and 2020 review.
We always aim to avoid writing "everything was awesome" posts. We try and give you honesty and insight into Joomlashack's year. There are always plenty of ups and downs. You'll find plenty of stories of both success and failure in these posts.
Shack Analytics is Ready for Joomla 4

Shack Analytics is now available for Joomla 4 users! You can download Shack Analytics version 1.0.8 and the same package file will work on both Joomla 3 and Joomla 4. This is the 15th extension that we've updated for Joomla 4.
Shack Analytics is a single extension to manage all the analytics code on your sites.

It's no secret that Joomla businesses are facing headwinds in 2021. It's not easy dealing with the Joomla 4 upgrades, and the competition from platforms such as WordPress.
I won't lie and say that Joomla in 2021 is the industry to be in if you want to make millions of dollars. Here at Joomlashack, we will probably grow around 5% to 6% this year. However, it is possible to run a profitable company that does good work and keeps growing. There's no secret to doing this, but you do have to focus on getting the business fundamentals right.
I ask our team to concentrate on these three priorities:
- Recurring revenue
- Higher prices
- Good communication
If you want to find a Joomla developer you can trust, ask yourself if they are taking the steps above. Do they use recurring subscriptions? Do they charge a good price for their products? Do they communicate often on their blog and social media?
These thoughts were inspired by conversations with customers, and those led to a presentaton in partnership with TechJoomla. You can watch the full video below:
